[Waverley ARS] I suspect a computer virus

Hi Eddie,

I think Simon originally suggested the idea, not me, I only suggested
setting up a few exceptions.

This thread is becoming less ham related as it goes on... but one of the
ideas I'm playing around with at home (and Ben, your ears may prick up
when you hear this, it's something one of our mutual friends, Andrew,
might be interested in too), is to set up Squid as a transparent proxy,
but to do filtering on it based upon the "text/javascript" MIME type.

Now imagine extending the idea from just a single Squid proxy to an
entire network of cache peers that you can route HTTP traffic through.

The idea has been done to death (think any Content Distribution Network
like Akamai), but has it been done with filtering so an ISP can use that
as a value added service for their customers?
