Hi Eddie

I would also recommend using the Firefox browser with the "NoScript" 
add-on installed. With this you are prompted to specifically authorise a 
web site to run a script, either just for the current session or 
permanently. Another handy add-on is Flash-block which prevents 
irritating Flash adverts and videos from starting unless you click on 
the symbol in the Flash window (you may also get a message about "please 
install Flash player", which can be ignored).
