Hi all,

This is my first post here so go easy...
It was interesting to read that all had a great weekend at WARS for the
recent Foundation weekend.
It was interested to meet Daniel from ICOM on the Friday before the
foundation weekend at the Maitland show where I was volunteering on a show
stand for HF radios of course.
I was wondering how Daniel went with the foundation course and exam? Raffy?

Also:
It has been a long time since I sat my Foundation test and thankfully passed
it.
I need to do an upgrade of course sometime this year...
I do need some mentoring though, volunteers please???
I have passed some regs for the next step, I don't recall which ones though?
I'm away in the Simpson Desert for two weeks this Saturday so I'll get in
contact after I return.

Regards
Terry Leeder

Hi Group!

Foundation weekend course on the just gone weekend was great fun, if not
tiring. I made some wonderful BLUNDERS on my advanced, and need to sit
it again! Fouled up on one question regarding DX comms on a 70cm
transmission. Works well when tropospheric ducting is in your favour,
but I circled ionosphere!

There were a few other blunders on my part, but for the most everyone
passed their foundation, and there are ~10 new AR ops in circulation.

Keep an ear out for VK2FSNG, VK2FDJR, VK2FRAY and a few others.

SNIP....

Cheers and 73's

Still VK2HRO for a little longer
Ben!
