Hi all,
Sorry to burden the list with (yet more) questions about my new antenna
plan. I've nearly finished building my connector box to sit outside my
bedroom window and I had a brainwave (pun not intended). Wouldn't it be a
good idea if I could stick a 30MHz low pass filter in it too?
So I went out searching and I found this link:
http://www.realhamradio.com/DC_54_mhz_lowpass_filter.htm
(there's also a PDF on the site containing an assembly diagram in imperial
- about 17KB)
It looks good on paper, but I thought I'd ask the list for comments on it
before I start building it. I'm probably only going to use it on 80 -> 10m
and not worry about 6m.
Has anyone here wound coils out of the copper tubing, and what advice would
they give? Where would the best place to get this kind of tubing and the
brass plating be? And is the size of the copper tubing important (the
diameter of the pipe I mean)? Should I wrap the copper in heat shrink to
prevent corrosion?
Thanks in advance,
73 VK2JSI... Adam
