Hi Everyone,
Just a short note that I have been down at the hall each afternoon and taken
some pics of the progress of the work on the new sewer line installation. I
have emailed the pics to Simon to put up on the club web site fro those who
would like to have a look at them.
It is progressing well. When I was there this afternoon, they have the
trench already back filled and ready for concreting over tomorrow. They have
included provision for taking waste from the sink upstairs when it is
installed as part of stage 2. Stage 1 is just covering the installation of
the sewer pipe and the connection of 1 toilet bowl and the urinal in the
gents side with more to be installed in the next stage. Most of the trees
have been removed except the big one in the front, one along the carpark
side of the building and, of course, the big one on the RSL side.
They have also installed a storm water drain along the front of the building
so it looks like they will be re-installing the gutter along the front, as
well.
As I said, they are planning to concrete over tomorrow and the new paths
will be lower along the side than they were previously so we shouldn't have
the problem of water flowing in, in the corner room. This has also been
affecting the Rovers' storeroom next door.
