[Waverley ARS] callsign and license class

I have come across a number of callsigns where the license class of the 
callsign according to the ACMA register, does not match the suffix, eg 
VK2Hxx is listed as an Advanced call on ACMA register.

Is it generally possible for an advanced licensee to retain a standard 
license suffix?
