Here's a really nice story about how K9EQ's father (I think) left his 
mark (quite literally) on the moon during the Apollo era.

It's a PDF totalling about 700KB, but it includes many pictures, 
including a part the author's wife manufactured a prototype for!

After reading this document, I have a new appreciation for origami given 
the package had to be shipped a volume of
59.5inches high, 66 inches wide and 36.3 inches deep yet expand out to 
10 feet 2 inches by 6 feet 9 inches wide (I think that's about as wide 
as some family cars!).
