Hi Edwin,

I have a Uniden charger on my VX-7R that I bought from DSE. It's able to 
supply about 700mA at 12V which charges it. I haven't measured how much 
current flows through it though. One site I saw claims the NC-72B 
delivers 12V at 500mA, so you should be ok. [url #1 at bottom]
