Today were were advised that Stage 2 of the renovations of the Club mean we
have to shrink the storage"facilities" we occupy at the club.
At the moment the sewerage has been installed but not connected to facilities.
The toilets at the rear are still being built and should be finised by the end
of next month. The downstairs area is going to be completely rebuilt and we
have to vacate by the end of next month. Naturally we need to get rid of a lot
of stuff. We intend therefore having an Auction at the Club next Project Day,
Simon will advise more details to club members and Amateurs at large.
Tomorrow night RT85As are available at $20 complete but not programmed for
Amateur frequencies. Ben will be working on programming them and they will be
then available at a different charge. If you already have your Tait 2000 then
a second may be purchased for $100 - there are not many left!! We are
currently researching purchasing power plugs for the Tait at about $12 from
the UK - final figures yet to be advised let us know tomorrow night if you
want one.
Tomorrow night we will also have minor items up for auction - they may be
viewed from 7-7:30 pm.
