[Waverley ARS] PCB Laser Paper

I noticed the discussion about transferring toner to PCB boards for
etching - another alternative to paper may be overhead transparency
paper designed for laser printers. I use this to do photo etching with
the Ristron PCB boards you get from Jaycar but I noticed in the December
Nuts and Volts magazine an article ("Prototyping with Surface Mount
Components") where they use this transparency sheet printed with a laser
printer to 'iron on' the toner to the board.

NB must be laser printer and laser transparency sheets not inkjet and
inkjet transparency sheets!

In the Nuts and Volts article they place a sheet of paper over the
plastic to stop direct contact with the iron. I haven't tried this as I
use the Ristron process but it might be worth looking at - the
transparency sheets I got from my local paper shop.

Disclaimer - if it doesn't work I take no responsibility in explaining
to the custodian of the iron in your house why it is covered in melted
plastic ;-)
