Hi
Below is a copy of the broadcast material plus some notes from Eddie,
VK2BEH as well as some news from last month's committee meeting.
Those planning to go to the dinner next month should advise numbers to
the organiser, Al VK2FALN, WHO CAN BE EMAILED AT vk2faln at vk2bv.org Al is
also organising the VX7R seminar quoted in the broadcast, so CONTACT HIM
if interested.
Regarding the 30A Powerpole order, we have a big enough requirement for
them to be ordered shortly, so if anyone who has not yet advised me
wants some, PLEASE LET ME KNOW very soon.
The calendar of events for 2008 has now been posted to our web site, so
be sure to UPDATE YOUR DIARIES.

Some matters from the last committee meeting on 18th October
A club station manager, Al VK2TUI and station engineer, Eric VK2VE were
appointed.
There was felt to be a need to send very large photos (up to 1/2Mb) and
other material such as our proposed magazine to all members via our
email list which is currently limited to moderately sized emails.
However some of you may have a slow internet service or a low bandwidth
allowance, so PLEASE LET ME KNOW if you would still prefer that large
items be posted on our server or picture gallery (as I do now with the
St George and Westlakes magazines) so that you can choose only to
download items of interest.
Eric VK2VE is preparing a club membership badge and well as planning to
re-introduce a club magazine.
The next committee meeting is to be held on Thursday 10th January, so if
there is any matter that you would like raised, PLEASE CONTACT our
secretary, Jim VK2JA, before that time.
It is expected that the full minutes of the October meeting will be
approved in January and subsequently be posted in the club house.
