Hi Simon,
I don't believe that a 'course' as such is required, nor is it as 
complex as that.  Obviously the theoretical part of the AOCP is a 
prerequiste, however, there is a practical assessment of the 
'maintaining a station' competency which involves (as I understand it) 
evidence (photos etc) of test equipment (eg multimeter, freq meter, CRO 
etc), or various construction (aerials, kits, modules), OHS (power 
boards, extension cords, general station layout etc) and so on.

Without knowing the specifics at this time, I rather suspect that the 
process is more of a 'check list' done individually and at one's one 
pace, which is then returned to the RTO for assesment. 

I will pass on information as I receive it.
