Hi Simon,
The MP3137 looks *almost* identical to the Digitor 12V09 (commonly seen
as DSE part number M9927). One often overlooked problem (that I see with
the M3147 too) is sometimes wall sockets in hotels are just way too low
to the floor. The MP3137 and M9927 both are great in that they "point
up" from the floor yet still have enough clearance around the power
switch too.
It's also extremely light weight; I had no problems charging my toys
when overseas using a multitude of plug adapters, and eats up most
voltages and frequencies you can throw at it. It's very travel savvy.
Biggest difference: the Jaycar model is almost $20 cheaper.
Maybe the the VX-1R will get some more use with one of these? :) Out of
curiosity, what are you using for /P these days?
