As for a domain name being not as personal; well that's highly
subjective - my nickname (carneeki) means more to me than my callsign
does (which will change soon anyhow).
I just had an idea, I run my own colo system in a tier 2 datacentre in
Sydney. I'd be happy to set up an additional local mirror.
