[Waverley ARS] Headline - An old wireless company heeds the new wave

Hi Edwin

I read this yesterday with interest, in particular that it suggested
that they have inherited all the old AWA technical records, which of
course are of great interest to radio collectors.

As a coincidence, I talked to the managing director, John Dougal, about
the background to the current AWA situation on the AWA stand at the
Cebit communications show last week but wasn't aware of the radio
records possibilities. There are some AWA records in the Mitchell
Library which I researched not longer ago to help a project on Teleradio
equipment, however most of them were accounting records with no
technical stuff.

After confirming the situation, I will follow this up with AWA to
enquire if the records are available and whether they can accessed for
research, as I know a number of collectors are looking for data on some
of AWA's early communications equipment.
