There are plenty of very cheap new batteries on Ebay.

On the subject of phone batteries, I had a call from Bob Phillips after 
the auction who said he bought some phone batteries or similar from 
Bob's stall but left them behind and wondered if anyone could find them. 
If so I can deliver to him at the HRSA meeting next Saturday.
