  To all members of WARS


  We had a very successful Auction on Saturday, we doubled our takings over last year thanks to donations from generous Hams. A Special thanks goes to Morven Dan who donated just about his whole amateur station, thank you kindly Morven.


  We got rid of most of the items that were up for auction, from memory less than ten items weren't sold - most of these were computer or non amateur items. Several new faces were present and they became active bidders. Beacause of their enthusiastic bidding, Jim became gob-smacked at some of the prices he received.


  A special thanks needs to be given as follows:


  To Simon for his persistant in advertising and promotion, and Janet for her assistance.
  To Megan van de Weyer for organizing the food and refreshments.
  To Eric for his Auction Program and Alan for his enhancements - a         lot of work went into advancing the systems design.
  To Raffy for his money management expertise and also Ros for her help too in catering.  
  It was Doug's first auction at WARS and I guess he now knows what can be achieved, thanks for your help Doug.
  Many thanks to those that assisted in setting up the tables, equipment, and acting as runners on the day.


  Well done fellows for a very successful day.
