[Waverley ARS] Club Annual auction 23/6/07 and meetings

Just 9 days to go before the club auction.

We have an excellent lot of ham gear this year as a result of donations 
with most items shown on the web site, but so far only 2 club members 
have requested that their items for sale be listed. Please let me know 
what gear you are proposing to put up for sale, preferably with a photo 
as it should encourage more to attend and so result in better prices. 
Check the web site for details of the tags to be applied to auction 
items and take a look at items already posted.

We are looking for donations of components and smaller items not worth 
auctioning for Bob's Trash & Treasure table, so please bring some along 
as these are a great way for us to raise funds.

Don't forget that we will be setting up the hall on the day before 
(Friday) when you can lend a hand and bring your items along. Watch this 
space for times.

Before then, please make an effort to come to the meeting next Wednesday 
as we have two interesting speakers and no formal proceedings (refer my 
previous posting for details).

Now that we are having separate committee meetings, it is intended that 
the monthly meetings no longer have a formal section which will be 
replaced by brief reports from the committee and discussions of items of 
current interest. The time saved will be filled by allowing more 
presentations which Doug VK2DCR is co-ordinating and who would welcome 
suggestions for topics and, better still, offers to present them.
