To assist,
My junk box has delivered two power transformers which could be used  
as to start  a couple of linear power suppliers. They are both new,  
toroidal wound
1 is 25V-0-25V -Somebody catalog number MT-2114
The other is bigger and heavier 45V-0-45V Cat No MT-2142
I suspect they were originally purchased for Audio Amp power suppliers.
I'll try and remember to bring them long to the club meeting.
