I think any retailer will get rid of slow moving stock to concentrate on 
better selling items. I doubt if club members have better information 
than you, though you could ask Dick Smith staff next time you visit or 
even the checkout people at Woolworths, since they own Dick Smth.

Realistically, Dick Smith is a well known brand in electronics retailing 
and if Woolworths wanted to give it up, they would sell the chain rather 
than use the name for selling other sorts of goods.
