Some members say they did not receive this eMail that was sent last Monday.
Here it is again, this time with a correction to Item 8, see below in red. The Trash & Treasure event is held at the WIA Dural transmitter site every TWO months. Thank you Eddie for your observation, I was really just testing to see if anyone actually read the minutes, hihi.

Subject: [Waverley ARS] Addendum to Minutes - Sep 06.
Herewith the addendum to the minutes of the September 2006 meeting and the complete minutes of that meeting in the attachment. These minutes were NOT put up for acceptance at the November 2006 meeting as they were incomplete.
========================================
ADDENDUM to PUBLISHED MINUTES - WARS MEETING September 2006
GENERAL BUSINESS (Continued)
6. A discussion took place on the long standing project to have access to the internet in our Clubhouse. Progress and adventures were reviewed with some merriment in the re-telling. Eventually conclusions were drawn that despite our best efforts a clear and reliable radio path cannot be established from the Clubhouse to either Raffy's or David's QTH. Raffy has proposed that he approach some or all of our near neighbours to canvass the possibility of "sharing" their internet facilities for a fee. If this venture proves fruitless he then proposes to seek out the best possible commercial "WiFi" system that is available to the Clubhouse site. It was also resolved that "illegal mast", see GB 5B above, will be removed by a working bee, with safety harnesses, commencing at 09:00 Saturday 23 September 2006.
7. Eric VK2VE suggested that we, as a Club Group, visit the Gladesville ARC on one of our non-formal Club meeting nights or any non-meeting Wednesday night. This is an Amateur TV, "a TV station in a kitchen", to see the presentation of their weekly programme. Members agreed that this would be of interest. February 2007 was suggested but no date was confirmed.
8. Jim VK2JA had recently visited the WIA transmitting station VK2WI at Dural during the Sunday broadcast. An invitation is extended to all Members to visit the site on any Sunday morning. Trash and Treasure Sales are held there every two months after the broadcast followed by a "home-brew" event.
9. Eric VK2VE mentioned up-coming WICEN events. Hawkesbury Canoe Classic, 28-29th October & Horse Enduro. Further information is available from the WICEN NSW website, http://www.nsw.wicen.org.au/
10. JOTA week-end is the 21-22nd October 2006. Raffy VK2RF will be supervising the operation.
