WAVERLEY AMATEUR RADIO SOCIETY

The club's next evening meeting will be held this coming Wednesday,
January 17th at 7:30 pm and the next Project Day on the afternoon of
Saturday, February 3rd commencing around 1:30pm.

A Foundation Licence Training weekend is being held at Rose Bay on
January 20th and 21st and there are still a few places left. Anyone
wishing to join this group can apply by email to exams at vk2bv.org.

Those with an interest in things maritime may like to know that the
Waverley club's Marconi Marine Apollo receiver has found a new home
aboard the Motor Vessel Cape Don now undergoing restoration in Sydney
Harbour by an enthusiastic group of volunteers. One of their aims is to
restore the radio room on board to its 1960s configuration and the loan
of this set restores a missing piece of radio equipment. The official
handover will take place on board in a few weeks time.

Waverley's clubhouse is located in the Scout Hall at Vickery Avenue,
Rose Bay, behind the RSL Club on New South Head Road. It is easy to find
and there is plenty of parking space in the grounds.
