Hi Simon,

That's true but you'll also find that the cartridges that come with the
printers often have a reduced amount of ink in them. The other way is to
refill them and that is what we often do here although you must refill
before it totally runs out or else the ink left dries in the head and you
can't get them to print properly again. .

If its like one of those that we were donated 2 or 3 years ago where the 
replacement ink cost more than the unit, you should have bought a few 
more - hihi.
