Hi everyone,
just a quick report about my new toy for those who might be interested. :-)

I 've just received my Heil Dual Traveler headset (and 706 adapter 
cable).  The mic is excellent, much better than the stock mic or DTMF 
mic for the IC-706Mk2G.  It has bought the VOX function alive.  The 
earphones are nice and soft and have excellent audio, the headset sits 
comfortably on my head and ears for a long time without fatigue or pain.

Best of all was the price, cheaper than anywhere I've seen by about 
US$50 (from memory). I got it from Hamstop's ebay store.

I've put this purchase off for a long time, for nothing but financial 
reasons and tried to substitute a PC headset mod with varying success.  
Having bitten the bullet, it has  turned out to be money well spent. A 
must for the HF ops.
