Some further thought to what was discussed at the last Wednesday night
meeting in terms of celebrating the club's 90th birthday in 2009.
While a number of people were talking about building vintage circuits
and so on, I thought it would be nice to apply for a special event
callsign for the duration of the year. Incorporating the club's
original callsign issued in 1920 'N249', we could apply for something
like VI90N249.
The callsign could be then used by members who wish to use it on a
roster basis to allow maximum coverage of bands/modes of interests
throughout the year, including any contests or record attempts that the
club or members may wish to partake in..
that's one idea anyway
