Hi

Below is the material submitted for the ARNSW broadcast this Sunday.

Shaun's subject of Radio Astronomy is something that should be of
interest to everyone, so we are expecting a good attendance on
Wednesday. Note the time for opening up at 1900 is earlier than it has
been lately to give more opportunity for a pre-meeting ragchew. As
usual, a number of members have supper at the adjacent RSL before the
meeting, so if you find the place locked up you know where we are.

The recently introduced lightning talks have proved popular but at this
stage I have yet be advised of what is proposed this time. If no-one has
volunteered, I can bring something else of interest from my radio
collection.

A reminder that a club team will be operating for 24 hours from Rose Bay
to compete in the Remembrance Day contest, starting at 1800 this
Saturday. Details have previously been announced on this list. The team
will be isolated from the rest of Sydney for motor traffic from about
0900 to 1130 while the City to Surf Fun run is taking place.

On the following Saturday afternoon the club will be operating portable
from Macquarie Light as part of the International Lighthouse Weekend.
Members and guests are welcome to drop in or participate in both events
which have been organised by Laurie VK2JAH.

See you there
