It's all systems Go for the 24-hour Remembrance Day contest starting 6pm next Saturday.

We plan to operate on two bands all night from the clubrooms using the dipole and a vertical. We will also be working VHF when we have enough operators (simplex only, not repeaters).

The following members are so far committed to the contest team:

(Local Time)
Sat 1800 Alan VK2TUI
            2000 Laurie VK2JAH
            2200 Tony VK2FREL
            2400 Brad VK2CEC
Sun 0200 Allan VK2FALN
            0400 Daniel VK2FGDW
            0600 Lyn VK2FLTJ
            0800 Saxon VK2FXEN
            1000 Daniel VK2FDGW
            1200 Adam VK2FNRD
            1400 Alan VK2TUI
            1600 Laurie VK2JAH

It would be great if other members could drop in to lend a hand at some time over the contest to assist in logging, working other bands, brewing coffee, generally giving encouragement etc.

For those unable to attend, you can still contribute to our score: The rules allow local contacts on 2 metres, 10 metres and 160 metres. Multiple contacts can be made on 2 metres every two hours. Suggest we use the calling frequency 146.500 (simplex), +/-, if you'd like to add your two-bob's worth. Contacts on 160m are worth double points, as are contacts made between 0100 and 0600.

We can also use the Paddington repeater for liason if home stations would like to "spot" possible QSOs on other bands.

Please join the Monday 2m net (8.00pm) if you have further help or suggestions.

Good Luck Team Bravo Victor!

73 Laurie VK2JAH
