Thanks Simon for recommendations and Binu for testing site.
I have Bigpond Cable, did the test and got 598/114 Kb/s and latency
of 229ms from Palo Alto CA. Got 470/118 and Latency 169ms from NY on
Good Friday.
Pay $57 per month (with 10% discount with phone) for 10Gig
(unlimited) with shaping down to 56kb when over ; one email and an
additional @ $1 per month. Pay for upload and download combined.
Seems ADSL 2 much better performance per buck and TPG better ISP.
Don't have Optus and thinking of going TPG ADSL2 and VOIP phone.
Any other comments.
