[Waverley ARS] Club visit to Kurrajong Radio Museum

Hi

At the last meeting it was proposed that a club visit to Ian O'Toole's 
Kurrajong Radio Museum be arranged for one Sunday in the future. There 
is plenty to interest everyone including those with no technical 
interest in radio.

At present the most convenient date that doesn't clash with other 
activities by members and the museum appears to be May 20th with a poor 
second choice of 29th April.

The proposal is that we aim to get there around 1100 (about 1.5 hrs 
drive from Sydney) and for those that wish to have lunch in the area 
after the visit, the choices appear to be

1) Eat your packed lunch at the museum, especially if you want to spend 
more time there
2) Go for a barbecue at the nearby Hannah Park on the Hawkesbury River 
(8k towards the city at North Richmond)
3) Go to the City View Restaurant at the Kurrajong Heights Hotel (5k 
beyond the museum) where they apparently give a good deal to groups 
booking in advance. A pub with a view.

Within reason there are no limits to numbers, but car travel is 
necessary as there is no effective public transport.

Can those interested in going (Yes or Maybe) let me know numbers and 
preferences for dates and lunch arrangements? If enough want to go to 
the Kurrajong Heights Hotel, we can make a booking for them.
