If my memory serves me correctly, these are the international AM short 
wave broadcasting bands (ie 49m, 41m, 31m etc bands). I wonder how they 
can "embargo" them, whatever that means, without international 
agreement? Sounds like the recent Israeli thing about reserving all ham 
bands for "defence" use! I suppose they could grab those frequencies 
currently allocated to Radio Australia for international use?

Anyway it is good to see the country starting to catch up technically 
with the rest of the world!
