Actually mine came from WES in Ashfield but it does exactly the same tricks.
I have yet to find a "flat battery" that it won't charge, you just have connect it to the correct polarity, leave it running and ignore the flashing LEDs. May take 30 mins to settle down.

Jim VK2JA told me about this $25 1 amp Sealed Lead Acid charger at Jaycar. It features two leds which indicate charging status. I bought one too & it works excellently for the price. It also works for car batteries- a bit slow 'tho.
