Hi All,

I am flying out in three hours. I'll try to set up a sked by IRLP or SMS .
Canada is seven hours behind us.

Mathias, one way to protect against RF surges at the antenna end (e.g. near
field lighting flashes) is to use a gas fuse. This device normally passes
RF, however when the RF becomes massive, it ionises a gas in a glass
cylinder and routes the surge to earth. The gas is consumed and the gas
fuse needs to be replaced.
Better the fuse than your equipment.

Salut! & 73
