Visitors: Nil.

 

Minutes of last AGM: Moved: Bob, VK2SOB; seconded: Jim, VK2KQ. All in favour.

 

Matters arising from above: 90th anniversary of Waverley ARS. Eddie reminded the meeting of his suggestion to identify equipment that was used in that era and try to operate it from the Club. We have some old, donated equipment. Some discussion ensued, but nothing conclusive was reached.

 

President's Report: "We've had an interesting year last year: a lot of changes to the meeting room; new carpet and partitions; we have co-habitors (Scouts) ; re-installed the aerials; big clean-up; created a new operating position in our section; removed and disposed of old magazines and books; Eric will write a report for the Record.

 

Treasurer's Report: see attached. Moved: Bob VK2SOB; seconded: Mark, VK2XHG. All in favour.

 

Other Reports: Nil. 

 

Motion: Nomination of signatories to Report for Dept. of Fair Trading: moved Eric, VK2VE that he and Michael, VK2HMR be nominated to sign the annual report for the Dept. of Fair Trading. Seconded: Bob VK2SOB. All in favour.

 

Election of new Executive and Committee: Michael VK2HMR, volunteered to chair the elections. He declared all positions vacant and called for nominations. 

 

1). President: moved Eddie VK2BEH seconded Jim VK2KQ, that Eric VK2VE, be elected President. There being no other nominations, Eric was declared President. All in favour. 

 

2). Vice President: moved Bob, VK2SOB, seconded by Jim, VK2KQ that Simon, VK2UA be elected to the position. Simon had expressed his interest to be elected and, there being no other nominations, was declared Vice President. 

 

3). Treasurer: Raffy VK2RF, overseas at meeting time, advised he was available for election. As nobody else was nominated, Raffy was elected Treasurer. 

 

4). Secretary: Eric nominated Michael VK2HMR, seconded by Eddie VK2BEH.  A number of others present were asked to stand, but declined. Michael actually did not intend to stand again but, as nobody was willing to stand, agreed, reluctantly, and was duly elected. He did advise, however, that he will not stand again.

 

5). Committee: Eddie VK2BEH, Jim VK2KQ and Bob VK2SOB volunteered to stand.

 

6) Membership Officer: not a Committee member, but appointed by it. Holds and updates the list and goes out to recruit new members. Secretary held that position in the past. 

At the end of elections process, President-Elect, Eric VK2VE resumed the Chair and called for General Business.

 

General Business: Nil.
