[Waverley ARS] Next weeks events at WARS and help wanted

See below for the text of this week's ARNSW broadcast.

I hope as many of you as possible will come to next week's meeting, as
the talk on antennas by David should be of interest to all of us.

Also next week on Saturday is one of our big events for the year, the
Annual Auction. We need all the support we can get for for this, so
please try to come along to buy or sell and enjoy the day. There are now 
around 45 items listed for the auction on the web site, but there is 
still time to add more.

Due to the early start on Saturday morning we need to prepare the hall
the day before as we did last year. To this end could all those who can
spare the time please come and help at the clubhouse at 14:30 on Friday
afternoon. We need to set up tables (assuming they are still there),
tidy up the hall and bring down the chairs and so on. Its also an
opportunity to bring along the gear you are selling to avoid the rush
and choose the best position for it! Please let me know in advance if 
you can come.

Help is also needed to pick up some heavy radios that have been donated
to us from Cremorne either on the Thursday or Friday. Jack VK2TRF has 
volunteered but we need at least one more fit person, preferably with a 
trolley. Let me know if you can help.

WAVERLEY AMATEUR RADIO SOCIETY

The club's next evening meeting will be held this coming Wednesday, June
21st at 7:30 pm. There will be a talk by David Benchoam on "RF antennas
and how they work". This talk will be aimed at both newcomers and
experienced hams with emphasis on commercially available amateur
antennas. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.

The next Project Day will be held on the afternoon of Saturday, July 1st
commencing around 1:30pm.

Note that Project Days are normally held on the first Saturday of every
month with evening meetings on the third Wednesday.

A final remainder that the club's annual auction will take place next
Saturday 24th June. Full details of this event, including a list of many
of the items for sale, are to be found on the club web site at
vk2bv.org. All are welcome to buy or sell.

The next Foundation Licence course will be held on the weekend of the
15th and 16th of July. Those interested should contact the co-ordinator
Eric, VK2VE, via email to exams at vk2bv.org

Waverley's clubhouse is located in the Scout Hall at Vickery Avenue,
Rose Bay, behind the RSL Club on New South Head Road; it is easy to find
and there is plenty of parking space in the grounds.
