Hi everyone,
Our next Foundation licence course is happening
next weekend (July 15-16). Eric will be overseas
so Raffy VK2RF, possibly Binu VK2BNG and I will
be (first time) WIA Assessors. Grant VK2TU is
officiating as our experienced Invigilator.
Would all those able to help with the lecturing
please let me know as soon as possible by
e-mail. Or if you are just available to help
that is appreciated as well. The course will be
the same format as earlier ones with various
lecturers sharing the load. There is no need for
lecturers to attend the whole of the weekend,
although they are more than welcome. I will post
an e-mail of the final schedule of lectures later
on but basically the lectures closely follow the Foundation License book.
The course will be in 5 sessions, 4 on Saturday
and one on Sunday followed by the assessments.
A DRAFT plan is as follows:
If you have any comments or suggestions,
please let me know! I can't find where Eric set
out various start times for prior courses, so I
am certain that the below times will need to be
fine tuned, again any comments would be
appreciated. Does anyone have the past schedule
with start time for each sessions?

consideration for those sitting Standard Theory

1:00 Lunch
1:45 Practical Assessments begin (approx 30 minutes per person)
The sessions should take around 1 1 ½ hour each
with practical sessions between sessions. A break
for lunch will be between sessions 2 and 3 with
session 5 on Sunday morning after which the assessments will take place.
We won't have Eric to do the first session this
time! Would those of you who have volunteered to
help with the lecturing please let me know which
session(s) you would prefer to do.
Lecturers can download the slide show for their
presentation from the WIA web site if they want
to brush up a little on their subject.
