Hi

I spent a couple of hours at Macquarie light today and climbed up to the
light platform with Jack and a few others for his ATV distance
experiment to Norah Head. The Sydney Harbour Trust allowed us to do this
as part of their open day. This was very successful and I have posted a
few photos of this and the ground activity on the club picture gallery.
No doubt others will provide pictures of the Hornby Light activation on
Saturday which I was unable to attend.

Thanks to Laurie and others who organised the event and the dozen or so
members that attended.

On another topic, I joined a regular 80 metre net at 20:30 this evening
and have never found propagation so bad - stations in the Sydney area,
normally 59+ were down to 23 and very noisy, and it wasn't only a
problem at my QTH as others were getting the same effect. I see the IPS
has a warning out for poor HF conditions.
