[Waverley ARS] Aluminium Enclosure Source

I've been building a 40m direct conversion receiver. I've got about five boards made up and working and a toridal power supply transformer:

  - Power Supply
  - RF Tuner
  - Product Detector
  - Low Pass Filter
  - Audio Amplifier

Now its time to put them in an aluminium box and make it look respectable. As its an experimenters radio I would like to have a good bit of room in the box. I'm looking for a box which is approximately 12 inches wide, 3 - 4 inches high and about 8 - 10 inches deep. I bought a box a bit smaller than this from Jaycar and found that I didn't like it, the box was made from really thin sheet metal. I think after I do the work of fitting the IEC power connector (square hole arggh, lots of filing) and all the potentiometers, it wont look very nice.

So I'm after a plain aluminium box about a foot wide, made of aluminium sheet metal about 1 - 2mm thick. The problem is I can't find a company that sells this type of enclosure. Does anyone know where I should look?

  Cheers. Paul
