Can you please include the following announcement in the ARNSW

Thanks, Simon VK2UA
WAVERLEY AMATEUR RADIO SOCIETY
The club will be activating two sites for the International Lighthouse
and Lightship Weekend on August the 19th and 20th. On Saturday the 19th
club members will backpack radio gear to South Head where they will
operate from the Hornby Lighthouse. On Sunday the 20th, the club will
activate the Macquarie Lighthouse to coincide with the public open day.
These two lighthouses feature significantly in Sydney's early history,
Macquarie being the first lighthouse built in Australia. Both sites will
use the club callsign, VK2BV, on 20 and 40 metres depending on
conditions and special QSL cards will mark the event.
The club's next evening meeting will be held this coming Wednesday,
August 16th at 7:30 pm. Alan, VK2TUI, will be giving a demonstation of
operating a remote H/F transceiver over the internet. Anyone interested
is welcome to attend.
The next Project Day will be held on the afternoon of Saturday,
September 2nd commencing around 1:30pm.
Waverley's clubhouse is located in the Scout Hall at Vickery Avenue,
Rose Bay, behind the RSL Club on New South Head Road. It is easy to find
and there is plenty of parking space in the grounds.
Full information about the club can be found on its frequently updated
web site at vk2bv.org or call Simon, VK2UA, on 02 9328 7141.
